Hi All,
New players must sign on to the team and become a team player. For our records we need the names of each new player signed on by text to either Mike or Pete .We have tried to be flexible with this but there needs to be control put in place. Only 2 players on the night of the match and we must know the names of the players on the night please.
Cancellations for matches must be communicated at least one week before, this includes singles and doubles matches. Failure to do this will likely result in a loss.

Hi All,
News update. Last night our doubles players turned up at the phoenix only to find it was closed. After being told that the phoenix will remain open this came as a surprise. We are now seeking clarification on what is happening and will update everyone soon.

Ref: New Signing On Rule
Hi All,
Before pool season kicked off we all voted in a new rule. This was that new players could sign on for a team at any time.
This flexibility would go a long way towards making sure games don't get cancelled due to holidays and sickness.
Already we have seen the benefits in this, however the committee and captains we have spoken to believe that there should be a cap of 2 players that can sign on at short notice, on the night, also the names of the new players must be texted over to us on the match night.
I'm sure we will all see the sense in this. Thanks for your support.

The committee have decided that last season worked really well, the quarter finals, semis and the finals will all be played on one night at the sports bar. This decision cuts out 6 weeks that would of been taken up. Not doing this would of had a very large impact on getting the league games done in good time, as specially when add in cup games and bank holidays.
For anyone thinking this could be unfair, the match table will not be used.
With this in mind, if anyone wishes to back out, a full refund will be given.

Ref: Cup and plate
As you will all know, normally if the number of teams entered doesn't add up IE 8 or 16 teams then a preliminary round would take place.
In our case this hasn't worked out, so there will be something very similar.
Just like a preliminary round we need to have a round of matches in order to align the fixtures.
2 teams will be drawn from the cup winners on Sunday to play each other, the winner to take a final placement and make the perfect 4 needed to progress.
Same for the plate.
So really it's the same as a preliminary round but happens after round one.
The draw will be done asap and communication sent out
Thanks

Ref: A big Thank you
The pool committee would like to thank Steve and Suzy Wilson from Waterlooville sports bar for sponsoring our pool league. The £500 that they have given will be very helpful. It's not easy to find a sponsor for such a small event, thanks guys, very generous.
